The Lifetime Achievement Award honours individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact in the field of dermatology through their professional accomplishments. They will have earned the respect and admiration of their professional colleagues, served the profession of dermatology over an extended period of time, been known for their personal integrity and be a long-standing member of the CDA.

Nomination Eligibility Requirements

• The award will be presented to an individual after a substantial career and may be given posthumously.
• Nominees must be members of the Canadian Dermatology Association.
• Nominations can be submitted by peers, colleagues or trainees but must be supported by two dermatologists.
• Self-nomination is ineligible.
• Nominations will be evaluated by the Membership and Awards Committee taking into consideration the eligibility and focus of the award.
• The CDA shall be under no obligation to make the award annually.
• The award will be presented at the CDA Annual Conference.
• Nomination submissions must be received by the deadline date. Any submissions received beyond that date will not be considered.

The nomination submission must include:

• A current curriculum vitae
• Letter of Nomination that describes the nominee’s professional accomplishments, the length, type and variety of service that the nominee has given to the advancement of the specialty of dermatology. Show how the nominee earned the respect and admiration of their professional colleagues. What defining characteristic sets this nominee apart from other individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact to the specialty of dermatology.
• Two letters of support from other dermatologists (maximum of two pages each)
• Up to two more letters of support from members of the community are also welcomed

Nominations will be accepted until March 1, 2024.
