Invitation from the President

Dear Friends,

It is my pleasure to welcome you all to my hometown, the lively city of Montréal, for the 93rd Canadian Dermatology Association Annual Conference, June 20-23, 2018. Montréal’s vibrant arts scene and “joie de vivre” will be the perfect complement to a conference program offering something for everyone.

The CDA’s Conference Committee has worked hard to create a conference program highlighting the latest scientific and clinical knowledge in our field. The event also includes innovative new sessions designed to expand our thinking, broaden our horizons and expand our networks.

Of course, no CDA Annual Conference would be complete without a showcase of Canadian and international experts in dermatology who have been invited to share their latest scientific and clinical knowledge.

This really is your conference and the impactful scientific sessions and stimulating social program have been crafted by the Annual Conference Committee based on the suggestions we have received from members. This year you can look forward to:

  • Workshops on the latest in dermatological care focusing on medical, surgical, cosmetic and professional interests;
  • Connecting with colleagues in all areas of dermatology with joint meetings of the Skin Research Group of Canada and the National and International Contact Dermatitis Research Groups;
  • Innovative educational program including the popular tips session and a new exam preparation session for residents;
  • Speed networking and other socializing opportunities with your peers;
  • Much, much more…

The conference will be at Le Westin Montréal and the opening reception complete with a prohibition theme, will be held a block from the hotel at the St-James Theatre (formerly the Canadian Bank of Commerce).

I hope you can join me in Montréal to experience the culture, history and cuisine of one of Canada’s founding cities, while learning about the new advances and techniques in our evolving field of dermatology. Register today!

Sincerely,

Julie Powell, MD, FRCPC
President
