CDA Annual Conference Ottawa 2020

Update: April 6, 2020

The 95th CDA Annual Conference is Cancelled

Dear CDA Members, Registrants and Partners,

We hope you are well and would like to thank you for your patience while the CDA leadership closely monitored the rapidly evolving Covid-19 pandemic. Following careful consideration, the Canadian Dermatology Association has recently made the difficult yet necessary decision to cancel the CDA 2020 Annual Conference originally scheduled for June 24-27 2020, in Ottawa, ON.

On Wednesday last week, as your President, Annual Conference Committee Chair and Conference Co-Chairs, we made the decision to cancel the 2020 Ottawa Annual Conference.  This was done following careful consideration and it was a difficult yet necessary decision.  With the subsequent provincial decision to close hotel meetings rooms as part of the COVID-19 response, it is clear this was the right decision. The CDA Board of Directors appreciates that protecting the health, safety and well-being of our members, attendees and patients is of utmost importance.  As an organization of healthcare professionals, it is important to keep our members in their communities—to help patients during this time of uncertainty.  The CDA will continue to explore virtual options for an abbreviated conference to be held at a later date.

We will fully refund registration fees to all those already registered. Additional information for meeting registrants, including those with abstracts accepted, and sponsors will be coming within the next few days. If you have immediate questions, please contact the CDA at

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and commitment to dermatology in Canada.
