Nominations – Board of Directors
2024-2025
The election of members to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Dermatology Association is conducted by email. All members in good standing have an opportunity to nominate and vote for those who are entrusted with the operation of the Association.
Nominations being sought this year are for the following positions:

- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer Elect
- Regional Director, Quebec
- Regional Director, Ontario
The position of Vice President is to be held for a one-year term with the incumbent advancing to President Elect the second year and President the third year followed by Immediate Past President in the fourth year. The position of Secretary is for a two-year term. The position of Treasurer Elect is for a one-year term, followed by a two-year term as Treasurer and an optional fourth year as Past Treasurer. Each position for Regional Director is a three-year term, all of which are to commence June 28, 2024 at the Annual General Meeting. Only Members may stand for nomination.

Eligibility of Directors and Officers
Any Member in Good Standing is eligible to stand for election as a Director or Officer.

- For the position of Vice President, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing who has their principal residence in a region not represented by the current Vice President or President Elect (by-law 10.05 (a) (viii))
For the 2024 election, only Members residing in Prairie Provinces, Québec and Atlantic Provinces can be nominated for Vice President. Eligible nominations will be accepted for members residing in those provinces only. All other nominations will be deemed ineligible.
- For the position of Vice President, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing who has their principal residence in a region not represented by the current Vice President or President Elect (by-law 10.05 (a) (viii))

- For the position of Secretary, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing (by-law 10.03 (c)).
- For the position of Treasurer Elect, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing.
- For the positions of Regional Director, only voting members with a primary practice in the identified region may nominate a Member in Good Standing with a primary practice in that same region (by-law 10.03 (a)). Under the bylaws: all voting members will vote for regional directors regardless of home province.
