Resident Teaching Award (2 awards)

This is a national award that will be given annually to two Canadian dermatology residents or fellows who made outstanding contribution to peer-resident and medical student dermatology teaching in their programs.

Nomination Guidelines

  1. Any resident or fellow enrolled in a Canadian dermatology residency program is eligible to be nominated. The winners may receive the award only once during residency training.
  2. Only one resident or fellow may be nominated from each dermatology division. The candidate need not be aware of their nomination.
  3. The resident or fellow should be nominated by the program director who would solicit input from the staff and the residents within the division.
  4. Nomination should consist of a completed nomination form, including the reasons for the nomination. The justification must provide sufficient and detailed information, as well as specific examples to convey the excellence and efforts of the nominee in teaching residents and medical students.
  5. Two awards shall be presented annually at the Awards Ceremony held during the CDA Annual Conference. Winners will be honoured with a recognition plaque.
  6. The selection committee is composed of members of the RFS Executive Committee.
