Dr. Joanie Pinard is a dermatologist working at CHU de Québec, Université Laval, where she focuses on complex medical dermatology and medical education for dermatology trainees.


Dr. Pinard received her medical degree from the University of Sherbrooke, followed by a residency in dermatology at the Université Laval in Quebec City. She subsequently did a fellowship in dermatology-rheumatology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where she received advanced training in connective tissue diseases, autoinflammatory diseases including hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. During that year, she participated in many national and international meetings, and conducted clinical research leading to several publications.  She is dedicated to the advancement of patient care, training and education in connective tissue diseases.

Dr. Pinard is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Rheumatologic Dermatology society, the Medical Dermatology society, the New England Dermatology society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the Canadian Dermatology Association.
