Call for Nominations Opens February 2, 2026
Get on board and help shape the future of your Association!
We will be seeking nominations from our members for 5 positions on the 2026-2027 Board of Directors:
- Vice President (1-year term with a 4-year total commitment) (eligible nominations will be accepted for members residing in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia)
- Secretary (2-year term)
- Treasurer Elect (1-year term with a 3-year total commitment and optional 4th year)
- Regional Director – Atlantic Provinces (3-year term)
- Regional Director – British Columbia (3-year term)
The position of Vice President is to be held for a one-year term with the incumbent advancing to President Elect the second year and President the third year followed by Immediate Past President in the fourth year. The position of Secretary is for a two-year term. The position of Treasurer Elect is for a one-year term, followed by a two-year term as Treasurer and an optional fourth year as Past Treasurer. Each position for Regional Director is a three-year term. All terms commence at the close of the 2026 Annual General Meeting. Only Members may stand for nomination.
Nomination Guidelines
Eligibility of Directors and Officers
Any Member in good standing is eligible to stand for election.
- For the position of Vice President, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing who has their principal residence in a region not represented by the current Vice President or President Elect (by-law 10.05 (a) (viii))
- For the 2026 election, only Members residing in Ontario, Québec and British Columbia can be nominated for Vice President. Eligible nominations will be accepted for members residing in those provinces only. All other nominations will be deemed ineligible.
- For the position of Secretary, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing (by-law 10.03 (c)).
- For the position of Treasurer Elect, voting members may nominate any Member in Good Standing.
- For the positions of Regional Director, only voting members with a primary practice in the identified region may nominate a Member in Good Standing with a primary practice in that same region (by-law 10.03 (a)). Under the by-law: all voting members will vote for regional directors regardless of home province.
