Dr. Michelle Pratt

Regional Director – Atlantic Provinces 2023-26

Dr. Michelle Pratt earned her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemistry and her Doctor of Medicine from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Ottawa, where she served as chief resident and received the Resident Patient Care Award. During her residency, she also obtained a graduate diploma in clinical epidemiology.

Currently, Dr. Pratt practices dermatology in St. John’s and serves as a clinical assistant professor at Memorial University. She manages a diverse array of complex cases in her community practice and is deeply involved in medical student and resident education, both as a clinical and research supervisor. Her research includes over 15 peer-reviewed publications, featuring case reports on adverse drug reactions and several systematic reviews. Her clinical interests encompass psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, and skin cancer, and she is passionate about patient education and advocacy.

In 2023, Dr. Pratt was elected Atlantic Provinces Director for the Canadian Dermatology Association (CDA). She also contributes as an advisory member on the CDA’s Skin Health Program Expert Advisory Board and Education Committee.

Dr. Pratt is dedicated to advancing dermatology through her clinical expertise, research contributions, and leadership. Her commitment to managing complex cases, educating future dermatologists, and supporting the CDA highlights her passion for enhancing patient care and continued education.
