Ms. Jacinthe Desaulniers

Chief Executive Officer

Born in Quebec, Jacinthe Desaulniers is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of leadership experience in Ontario’s healthcare sector. Recognized for her innovative approach and unwavering commitment to patient-centred care, Ms. Desaulniers has demonstrated a profound understanding of the healthcare landscape throughout her career.

Ms. Desaulniers’ career is marked by a transformative 15-year tenure as the CEO of Réseau des Services de Santé en Français de l’Est de l’Ontario (RSSFE). There, she led a significant governance restructuring, steering the organization towards a community-based model. Her leadership was instrumental in expanding RSSFE’s membership from a modest five to over 1,000 individual members, showcasing her ability to drive growth and foster community engagement. Additionally, she was a pivotal force in the creation of OZi, a not-for-profit organization that developed the Société santé en français national data strategy, a project funded by Health Canada. Under her guidance, these data strategies have been adopted across several provinces and territories.

Before her influential role at RSSFE, Ms. Desaulniers held key leadership positions at the Fertility Centre at the Ottawa Hospital, the Provincial Centre for Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health at CHEO, and the Ontario Telemedicine Network. Her diverse experience equips her with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare landscape.

Ms. Desaulniers brings a distinctive leadership skillset, authentic approach, and fluency in both official languages. With her profound understanding of the CDA’s challenges and her application of EDI principles, she is well-positioned to elevate management and foster a more inclusive environment for Canadian dermatologists. As the CEO of the CDA, her focus is on board governance, administrative oversight, and membership offerings. She will also engage with partners, stakeholders, and government entities to align with the CDA’s strategic plan.

“I am committed to leading the implementation of our strategic plan and addressing key priorities such as member engagement, advocacy, and performance metrics,” says Ms. Desaulniers. “Together, I am confident that we will achieve great success and make significant strides in advocating for dermatological care across Canada.”

Ms. Desaulniers is poised to drive significant advancements in dermatological care, leveraging her extensive experience and innovative mindset. Her leadership is instrumental in shaping the future of the organization, ensuring that it continues to excel in member engagement and support as well as advocacy. Together with our members, she is dedicated to making a profound impact on the field of dermatology across Canada, with a steadfast commitment to excellence.
